About KuCoin

KuCoin is a global centralized exchange founded in 2018 and known as "The People's Exchange" for its wide altcoin selection of 700+ coins and built-in trading bots. It offers spot, margin, futures, copy trading, and lending. In 2020 KuCoin suffered a $280M hack but fully reimbursed affected users. In 2024 it reached a $297M CFTC settlement over AML failures, after which it tightened KYC requirements. KYC is now mandatory for most features.
